Hunter Hayes is an American country singer, born and raised in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. The twenty-two year old has been playing music since he was just two when his grandmother gave him a toy accordion. Hunter wrote his first song when he was just six years old and what might a six year old name a song? ‘Six Years Old' of course.
When Hunter moved to Nashville in 2010, he was signed to Atlantic Records as a song writer. Hunter got his start on tour with Taylor Swift during the 'Speak Now' tour. However, that wasn't Hayes' first experience on stage. When he was a kid, he performed onstage with Hank Williams JR.
After touring with Taylor Swift, Hunter had his own radio tour, followed by the 'Most Wanted' tour which was his breakout tour. In 2012, Hunter joined Rascal Flatts on their ‘Thaw Out’ tour then even toured with Carrie Underwood on the ‘Blown Away' tour.
Hunter headlined his first arena on December 16, 2012 in St. Louis Missouri at the Family Arena. In the fall of 2013, Hunter begun his tour called the ‘Let's Be Crazy Tour' with special guest Ashley Monroe, followed up by his arena tour called the 'We're Not Invisible Tour' with special guests Dan + Shay and Danielle Bradbery.
Hunter's debut album, 'Hunter Hayes' hit shelves and iTunes on October 11, 2011. Hayes played every single instrument on that album, co-wrote every song and even co-produced the album.
Hunter's sophomore album, 'Storyline' came out on May 6th 2014. That week, Hunter broke a World Record for the most concerts played in 24 hours to raise awareness for child hunger.
All of this is happening to the rising country superstar and keep in mind that Hayes is just turning 23 on September 9th.
